"Historic house and intimate gardens, a hidden oasis on the edge of a West Yorkshire town" - National Trust.

We will have a ceremony and party in and around the Airedale Barn, next to a beautiful pond with plenty of ducks and other wildlife.

The gardens have nature trails and the 'Discovery Garden' (complete with Mud Kitchen). It's lovely for a day out, even when the wedding of the year isn't taking place.

How to get there and where to stay?

Driving (if you don't have your international broom LICENCE)

Keighley's nearest city is Bradford in West Yorkshire (very close to Leeds).

Driving from Manchester, you'll take the M62.

Driving from London, you'll take the M1 and then wiggle around a bit when you get up north.

For those not driving, the train is good way to get around (if you're coming from abroad, ask Emma about Britrail passes which are excellent for non-UK-residents to get around cheaply and comfortably).

Lots of choice in Skipton and around the Yorkshire Dales. Rural AirBnbs will require you to drive to get there, but there are several hotels in Skipton (10 miles from East Riddlesden Hall), Ilkley (11 miles away), or slightly further afield in Leeds or Bradford.

It's worth mentioning that we may well have a roll-over party at The Fleece Inn in Skipton after the reception, so you may wish to stay stumbling distance from Skipton!

Theatre nerds, there's every chance there'll be touring productions of West End shows while you're here. In 2023 these included Wicked, Six The Musical, Chitty Bang Bang, Come From Away, Heathers, Everyone's Talking About Jamie, Blood Brothers and Pretty Woman.
